  • We had a fantastic time enjoying the cottage and the surrounds. We loved the peace and quiet of the cottage and the ability to quickly dash into town or to see the local attractions. H Family, California, Christmas / New Year 2022/3
  • Thank you for a wonderful stay – your cottage offered the idyllic surrounding we were looking for. One evening we decided to walk to the Sun Inn in Hook Norton. It was about a 50-min walk, but we’ll add that doing it at night is not for the faint of heart. Bring a torch and be aware the entire time for cars. Would definitely recommend the Sun Inn for dinner. Had a great Sunday Roast at the Bell at Stow. One of our favourite trips was the Rollright Stones, great walking trails & interesting history. Bonnie was a wonderful help & gave some great suggestions for groceries. Thank again for offering your cottage to us. K family, Toronto, CA Oct - Nov 22

  • What a beautiful cottage in such marvellous surroundings! We had a great time in Swerford and paid some visits to Woodstock, Chipping Norton, Bourton-on-the-Water, and – of course – Oxford. The museum of natural history in Oxford was a great trip, we can recommend it to both children and adults for a visit. Relaxing in Swerford was nice, especially on the stretchers in the backyard when the weather was sunny, or during the evenings sitting in the cosy lounge of the cottage watching a DVD with the whole family. Despite the fact that I had broken my ankle a few days before arriving in Swerford, I liked it a lot here and using my crutches I got easily around the house. The handles in the bathroom were really helpful! M family, The Netherlands, August 2022
  • We had an amazing time in Blue Row Cottage. The surroundings were quiet and beautiful and Swerford is wonderfully picturesque. We visited towns such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Banbury, and Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as cities like Oxford and London, which was easily accessible by car to the Park and Ride at Hillingdon. Also, we loved to visit the churches here in Swerford and Hook Norton for the services on the Sundays. We had a lovely time doing all of this because of the marvellous weather. The cottage was perfect. We had everything we needed and enjoyed having breakfast in the garden every morning. Thank you for letting us stay. Heel veel liefs en hartelijke groeten. K family, The Netherlands, August 2022

  • Very charming cottage. The atmosphere is so peaceful and is like stepping back in time to a dreamy romantic period. The last evening we walked to Hook Norton and had dinner at the Sun Inn. The food was delicious and the waitress even offered to drive us home. Very friendly people in all the area. The house itself has absolutely everything and great care and thought has gone into masking guests’ stay as smooth as possible. Would come back again without a doubt. The M family, Sardinia, Italy. • Blue row cottage is very cosy with enough space for our family. Sheila and Bonnie, thank you for having it ready and welcoming us earlier. We so enjoyed the garden, walks around Swerford, especially the footpath by Cow Lane. The daffodils in the woods were amazing. We explored the church grounds behind the cottage and what a beautiful view of it right outside the bathroom window! The spicy Indian restaurant in Chipping Norton was excellent! We also went to Stow on the Wold and visited Saint Edward’s church. Today I met Alexia, who lives here, and she recommended that we drive to the Rollright Stones (about a 7 to 10 minute drive) and watch the sunset. We sat near the King Stone and did just that! I’m so glad we did as it was our last sunset in England. We absolutely loved staying in and exploring the Cotswolds. Thank you again….. we made some special memories here! S family, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. April 2022
  • A lovely comfortable ‘home from home’ cottage, well equipped with lots of extras to make our stay comfortable. The weather wasn’t kind to us, so unable to do the many walks we wanted to do. We had the worst storm (Eunice) we’ve seen while we were here. No power for 24 hours. It’s made us appreciate the simple things in life more - being warm, making a cup of tea etc. Thank you, Bonnie, for your warm hospitality and help. P family, W. Sussex, February 2022
  • Another extremely comfortable stay, though just us this time, COVID pinging meant that others unable to be here very sadly, extraordinarily warm, lowest temps overnight 11 degrees!! All perfect, so Many thanks, and hope 2022 slowly returns to better times. The Blenheim Palace Christmas lights trail was stunning highly recommended! Mr and Mrs R, Dorset, New Year 2021-22

The location is great with many interesting places to visit not far away, we loved the lights at Blenheim palace! Saw the Slaughters, Cotswold Wildlife Park and many quaint villages. Lunch in Temple Guiting, lovely tea house, even managed to sit outside. Also visited a couple of National Trust properties. We so enjoyed the lively bird activity in the garden and witnessing the flowers and trees burst out for early spring. Wonderful access to footpaths, allowing us to explore and meander about this lovely countryside. Thanks so much for the excellent stay. The four of us are sure to miss the cottage when we go. • Lovely cottage in a friendly village: We loved our stay! The owners have put a lot of thought and love into the cottage, will an interesting and locally relevant decor and everything you could need. The ground floor rooms are great for sharing and the garden is well tended and spacious. There’s lots of information on local pubs and walks, and the owners are available for anything else. And from some 2011 visitors, who created a blog:

It was a perfect English idyll in this perfect English cottage. We have enjoyed our month here and hate to leave. We love the pheasant that comes to the back garden for breakfast and sometimes dinner. The church bells helped us keep track of time, the mooing of the cows and the baaing of the sheep lulled us to sleep. Tea in the garden on the warm sunny days was the perfect way to end the day before we thought of dinner and the telly. Staying here was a dream come true and we both felt immediately at home at Blue Row. (June 4th 2011, Fort Scott, Texas)
